Preflop Decision Trainer

Poker is a card game where players make decisions using incomplete information. This classroom version focuses only on the math: card strength, probability, pattern recognition, and decision-making.

This version uses the chart below as the decision guide. For this activity, a hand with a chart value of 20 or lower is considered playable, so the correct decision is Raise. A hand above 20 is considered Fold.

Raise means the chart says the hand is playable.

How to Read the Hand

Pair: Two cards with the same rank, such as 88 or JJ.

Suited: The hand code ends in s, such as AQs. Both cards have the same suit.

Offsuit: The hand code ends in o, such as KTo. The cards have different suits.

Rule: Chart value 20 or lower means playable/raise. Chart value above 20 means fold.
